The open-concept mall aims to be the “heart and hub” of JB, and they’ve officially opened on Wednesday (13 Nov).
Here’s what you can look forward to there.
Instead of being cooped up within four walls, Toppen Shopping Centre is an open-concept mall.
By letting sunlight in, they are able to rely less on interior lights.
The glass ceiling will also give you a view of the sky if you’re planning to shop at night.
The mall also features outdoor rooftop areas that feature water playgrounds for families to enjoy.
As the images above were artist’s impressions of the mall released in May, we’ve sourced a few pictures of the mall’s interiors that have just been posted online in the last 24 hours as of 13 Nov.
Walking around the 1.1 million square feet mall is sure to tire you out.
Don’t worry, the mall has plenty of food stores to help you “recharge” your burnt calories. From Kyochon Korean Fried Chicken to AWA Mee Bar noodles store, the choices are endless.

Maybe fried chicken isn’t your thing. The mall also has a DubuYo — a Halal Korean restaurant.
If your throat is parched, why not head to Starbucks to quench your thirst.
The Toppen Shopping Mall is described as having a “heart” as the mall is eco-friendly.
The rooftops of the mall will have multiple solar panels to harness solar energy for the malls use. With the “Intelligent Building Management System”, the mall prevents energy wastage by adjusting lighting and power.
Rainwater will also be collected to be reused in the mall.
The best part about the mall is that it’s only a 30-minute car journey from JB customs.
Time to look for the next good time to change for some Ringgit.
