Truck in M’sia reverses to push double-parked vehicle out of way

After being stuck for over 30 minutes, a truck in Malaysia reversed straight into a double-parked vehicle in order to push it out of the way.

The incident was shared on Facebook on Sunday (17 Nov) where it has drawn over 2,300 likes and nearly 600 shares.

Truck trapped in rain

The black truck featured in the footage was experiencing some difficulty as it attempted to leave its parking spot. This was because a white Perodua Viva had parked closely behind the truck.

Needless to say, the rain only added to the struggle. The driver could be seen repeatedly attempting to slowly manoeuvre his larger vehicle so it could exit the parking lot.

According to the caption the anonymous submitter provided, the driver had spent the last 30 minutes honking in a vain attempt to attract the Perodua driver’s attention.

With their patience at its limit, the truck driver gently reverses into the white Perodua, moving it out of the way and creating more room for the truck to manoeuvre.

However, this pushed the white vehicle dangerously close to the cars driving around the parking lot. One driver even honked and backed up slightly when the Perodua got too close for comfort.

Fortunately, the Perodua was moved safely without hitting any other vehicle or obstructing the traffic within the parking lot.

With the additional space, the black truck was finally able to slowly reverse out of its parking spot with the help of a woman indicated to the truck while standing in the rain.

The footage ends as the car successfully leaves the parking spot.

Netizens praise truck driver for not going postal

Despite the relatively aggressive move, many netizens actually praised the black truck driver for not making a bigger mess out of the white Perodua.

Many commenters said the driver was very kind for not turning the Perodua into a wreck. From the footage, it was almost impossible to tell if the Perodua had suffered damage at all.

One person even wished the truck driver had pushed the Perodua into the middle of the road.
