The highly anticipated Warehouse Hotel is finally open for reservations – and boy, was the wait worth it.
Located at 320 Havelock Road, Singapore 169628, The Warehouse Hotel sits along the riverbank of the Singapore River.
Built in 1985, The Warehouse Hotel was initially (drumroll, please) a warehouse.
Back then, the area was littered with vices and illegal activity. Prostitutes would roam the streets, secret societies were prevalent and illegal moonshine was commonplace.
While most of these enterprises have become history, the old warehouse remains – refurbished into a contemporary boutique hotel that boasts rich culture and heritage.
Just take a look at how eye-catching the interior decor of the hotel is.
Here’s a picture of the lobby:
The lobby has a bar as well – without the illegal moonshine, of course:
The hotel has 37 rooms that are categorised into 6 different types, each with their own special traits.
The hotel website writes that all rooms in the hotel feature complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speakers, custom pillowtop matresses, 100% eco-certified Ashley & Co bath amenities, a fully stocked minibar and access to the rooftop infinity pool.
All River View rooms look out over The Singapore River (in case you can’t tell from the name).
The River View Loft is exposed to ample natural light and is great for someone who enjoys waking up to the sunshine. Probably not advisable if you plan on sleeping in, though.
The River View Mezzanine has 2 levels and a reading library. It’s one of the largest rooms available. Perfect for bookworms.
River View Rooms have ample space and light, and are located on the ground floor. Good for those with lots of heavy luggage, so there’s no need to take a lift or stairs.
The River View Suite is the largest, open-plan room available, so be prepared to pay a premium for the extra place that is enough for you to have a party.
Tall people, rejoice. These rooms have double-high ceilings and a view of the hotel’s surrounding area.
If you enjoy peace and privacy, take one of these windowless and quiet rooms that isolate one from the bustle of the city. Not good if one has claustrophobia, though.
Sick of generic minibar snacks? The Warehouse Hotel’s minibars stock cool consumerables like salted egg yolk chips and gin made with sichuan pepper.
And in a nod to the hotels kinky past, they also include, erm, vibrators and BDSM paddles.
Any takers? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Chef Willin Low, the founder of the acclaimed Wild Rocket, will be in charge of the culinary programme at The Warehouse Hotel.
Po, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, will include tasty creations by Chef Low that aim to present Singapore’s local cuisine with an inventive twist.
Just like the expensive Marina Bay Sands, The Warehouse Hotel has its own infinity pool for you to enjoy.
You can even make a video like the Sexy Nearly Naked Man and attract tourists to The Warehouse Hotel!
It’s been a long wait, so waste no time and book a room at The Warehouse Hotel for your storage needs!
