Authorities in Thailand were alerted to an accident in Pattaya on 23 Oct at 1.16am where a woman had flipped her car after hitting a road barrier.
The woman was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the accident.
After the accident, the woman told emergency responders: “I’m confident that no matter how drunk I am, I’m a good driver.”
Upon arriving at the scene, police found a damaged blue Honda on its side, reported Thai news outlet Matichon.
The vehicle’s driver, a 29-year-old Thai woman, suffered from light injuries.
When emergency responders approached the woman to ask if she was hurt, she said that her heart ached.
“I have no boyfriend!” she exclaimed.
A video posted by Channel 8 News showed that the woman had even jumped up to dance before falling to ground while hanging onto one of the responders.
The woman was also asked if she had been drinking.
She was surprised by the question, indicating that it was obvious she’d been drinking from how drunk she was.
Matichon reports that the woman had no recollection of how the accident occurred. However, she has admitted to the wrongdoing and was taken to the station by police to measure her blood alcohol level.
The case is currently under investigation.
