A fight in Woodlands that involved a group of individuals resulted in one of them being sent to hospital and later arrested.
Photos of the aftermath were posted by @sgfollowsall on Instagram, along with an eyewitness account.
The eyewitness said the incident took place in the early hours of Monday (11 Nov).
They were near the Sheng Siong supermarket along Woodlands Street 13 when they heard shouting coming from a nearby location.
Upon checking it out, the witnesses saw a group involved in a fight, with one man lying on the ground. The man on the ground was then stabbed.
The group subsequently fled the scene, noticing the witness as they left.
Two women were also seen with the injured man, “panicking and trying to find help”, the witness said.
Photos shared by the account showed pools of blood on the road inside an HDB estate.
A police cordon was also set up at the scene, with a number of police officers and vehicles present.
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to a fight at about 12.55am on 11 Nov.
The location was Block 182A Woodlands Street 13.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that it took one person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
That person was a 42-year-old man, who was conveyed in a conscious state, SPF added.
Another person suffered minor injuries but declined to be sent to hospital.
The man who was sent to hospital was later arrested for possessing an offensive weapon, SPF said.
Efforts are underway to trace other individuals who were involved in the fight.
Police investigations are ongoing.
