Apart from existing guidelines, citizens can expect the government to enforce more stringent measures in the upcoming weeks.

PM Lee seeks the nation’s understanding and urges Singaporeans to continue abiding these measures.

Only absolute essential workplaces remain open

In a bid to further contain the spreading pandemic, PM Lee announced that more workplaces which are not deemed essential will be closed.

This will ensure that only the most essential services stay open, reducing the risks of community transmission during this critical period.

For example, Singaporeans can expect less frequent grass cutting at HDB areas, according to PM Lee.

Minister Lawrence Wong later said during a separate press conference that the closures will be done across all sectors, further cutting the essential services available from 20% to 15%.

He also said that Singaporeans can also expect some F&B stores to be inaccessible in the following weeks.

Be patient and cooperative

While the recent updates might sound distressing, we must remain cooperative and patient with the social-distancing measures.

As long as we are patient and diligent, we can certainly get through this 2-month CB.
