We’re only 3 days into the new year, but Chinese New Year is just little more than 3 weeks away.
In light of this, some households are already getting a headstart on their preparations by shopping for drinks and beverages needed for CNY gatherings. However, stocking up on alcohol can be pretty painful for the wallet.
Thankfully, Cellarbration – a liquor supplier – is holding a warehouse sale from 3-24 Jan so you can stock up on all the alcohol without busting your budget.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect, with reference to a previous sale.
There’ll be a wide variety of booze on sale, such as wine, whisky, and beer, at prices that are “cheaper than supermarket“.
CNY is a time for gatherings and celebrations, and no drink will put you in a celebratory mood better than good ‘ol champagne. These bottles of sparkling alcohol were selling for as little as $40 each during a sale last December.

For those who prefer liquor, whisky from brands like Johnnie Walker, Glenfiddich, and Martell will likely be available as well, at a fraction of their price.

But if you’re more of a beer person, these green cartons will certainly get you excited.
Do note that this price is from Jun 2019’s sale

According to Cellarbration’s poster, Heineken beer will be going for $54 per 24 cans during the Chinese New Year sale.
There’ll also be red and white wines from Fifth Leg and many other brands for the more ‘sophisticated’ drinkers out there.
With this sale, you won’t have to worry about having to ‘eating grass’ after spending all your money on CNY drinks.
