The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirms 42 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore today (29 Mar).
According to MOH, 24 are imported cases with travel history to the following regions:
Among the 18 local cases, 8 have links to previous cases while 10 have no known connections yet. Contact tracing is underway for the latter group.
Today’s number brings Singapore’s total to 844 Covid-19 cases so far.
Of the 8 who have connections to previous cases, one of them, Case 810, has links to 2 others from a wedding studio.
The 2, Case 802 who was in yesterday’s (28 Mar) case count and Case 745, were close contacts at The Wedding Brocade at 1 Yishun Industrial Street 1.
Having 3 cases tracing back to the venue now makes it a new cluster, adding on to the 6 other active clusters in Singapore:

19 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Singapore sadly recorded its third fatality to the virus earlier today, a 70-year-old who succumbed after 27 days in the ICU due to health complications.
206 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 but are clinically well are continuing treatment in special care centres at the following places to free up public hospital facilities for the more seriously ill:
We hope that they’re well on the mend, and that all patients will have a smooth recovery.
