The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 506 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore today (30 May), bringing the total to 34,366 so far.
Majority are still migrant workers staying in dorms, while community cases among citizens, Permanent Residents (PRs) and work pass holders remain low at 5.
Of the 5, 2 are Singaporeans and PRs, while 3 are work pass holders.
In a later update, MOH disclosed details of the 5 community cases, 4 of whom are currently unlinked.
One of the 4, a 45-year-old non-teaching staff at My First Skool @ 192 Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, had reported for work after noticing symptoms.
She first had onset of symptoms on 10 May.
Continuing with updates on places which new cases have visited, MOH listed outlets like Junction 8 and 2 Yishun supermarkets:
Members of the public who have visited these places at the above timings should monitor their health closely over the next 14 days.
Meanwhile, 1 new cluster has emerged at a dormitory at 15A Senoko Way, which recorded 9 Covid-19 cases.
As Singapore begins to gradually lift ‘Circuit Breaker’ measures, the consistent number of daily cases remains a concern.
While community cases have been low, this doesn’t mean we should let our guards down.
Let’s continue to be vigilant, and take extra precautions if need be, as we embrace a ‘new normal’.
