The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 65 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (3 Apr). 56 of them are local transmissions while the 9 remaining cases are imported.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore to 1,114.

There are also multiple new cases linked to previous cases. In particular, 11 cases reported today are linked to the cluster at S11 Dormitory @ Punggol identified on Monday (30 Mar).
Another 8 new cases are linked to the Westlite Toh Guan dormitory cluster which emerged on 31 Mar.
In better news, 16 Covid-19 patients have also been discharged bringing the total of recovered cases to 282.
However, 25 remain in critical condition and are warded in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Earlier today, Singapore announced its 5th Covid-19 death — an 86-year-old Singaporean woman linked to the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home cluster.
PM Lee also announced a number of tightened precautionary measure, including closing non-essential workplaces for a month from next Tuesday (7 Apr).
All students would also have to undergo home-based learning from next Wednesday (8 Apr).
