Owner scolds dog via CCTV camera for snatching parcel

It’s fairly usual for dog owners to discipline their pets for misbehaving. However, a police officer in Thailand amused netizens when he scolded his dog through the CCTV camera.

The officer recounted the incident on TikTok where he shared that the canine had snatched a parcel from a deliveryman.

In the footage dated 5 Dec 2024, the dog had a black parcel in its mouth before dropping it on the ground.

The next clip showed the delivery man speaking to the officer on the phone, and informing him of his dog’s cheeky actions.

The owner then scolded the dog for its mischief via the surveillance camera installed outside the premises.

“Put it down! You’re misbehaving! You want to get punished?” he said.

At the sound of its owner’s voice, the dog paused to look at the camera remorsefully before hiding under the table.

The incident reportedly occurred in Nakhon Ratchasrima province.

Netizens joke that the dog looks sorry for what it had done

The canine’s reaction to the scolding amused many netizens.

One TikTok user said that the dog seemed to understand that it was being scolded.

Meanwhile, one netizen jokingly said that maybe the dog was actually trying to help.
