A British tourist’s night of drinking in Thailand took a bizarre turn when he fell through the ceiling of a game shop while reportedly covered in his own faeces.
The incident occurred around 2am on 4 Nov in Pattaya.
According to Amarin TV, the 51-year-old tourist from the United Kingdom, visibly intoxicated, crashed through the ceiling of a game shop, leaving one of his legs dangling in full view of startled patrons.
As the man cried for help, confused gamers quickly alerted authorities.
Emergency services were able to safely rescue the man, who did not have any clothes on, from his predicament.
They provided first aid at the scene before transporting him to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Authorities’ investigations revealed the man had fallen from the second-floor balcony of the adjacent hotel, landing with enough force to break through the game shop ceiling.
It was unclear how he had fallen.
Inside his hotel room, officials reportedly found faeces spread across the bed and floor, leaving behind a strong odour.
Inside News Hub reported that eyewitnesses heard groans and banging sounds coming from the room.
Police Lieutenant Thanawee Yarangsee stated there was “nothing illegal” involved, adding: “It is his private life, so he will have to speak with the hotel to negotiate the bill.”
