Singapore is known for its multi-religious and multi-racial cultural cohesiveness. However, it is not everyday that you see 10 different religious leaders conduct blessings at the same place and time.

A viral photo posted on the Singapore Grand Prix’s Facebook page depicts 10 representatives from various religious groups coming together to shower their blessings on the annual Singapore Night Race.

This year’s Singapore Grand Prix will be held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 20-22 Sep.

Here are the religious leaders who participated (left to right):

  • HINDU: Pandit Kalavanpara Ayyappan Sunil Kumar
  • JEWISH: Rabbi Mardoch Abergel
  • ZOROASTRIAN: Ervad Rustom Minocher Ghadiali
  • BUDDHIST: Venerable Seck Kwang Phing
  • TAOIST: Master Adrian Long
  • JAIN: Shri Nayankumar Bhavankumar
  • CHRISTIAN: Reverend Martin Yee Yeow Wai
  • MUSLIM: Haji Mulladad Aladad Khan

However, this isn’t the first time leaders of religious groups have gathered to bless the Singapore track.

According to TODAY Online, the tradition of blessing the track has been around since 2008, when the 1st Singapore night race was held.
