Remember the General Election in 2011, the one where Returning Officer Yam Ah Mee turned into a national hero?
Some guy turned that dour, expressionless demeanour into a pretty decent sounding EDM song.
He’s FallenSuperHeroSG and his latest video, a remix of every day sounds on the MRT, caught my attention again.
The track was originally teased with a tweet dated 10 May 2015.
Attention please, please give way to alighting passengers before boarding – CHECK.
That “beep-beep-beep-beep-beep” before the train doors close – CHECK.
Next station: Clarke Quay – CHECK.
This turned me into an official fan girl. Moarrr please.
So a casual click on his channel turned out to be the best discovery of my day: a brilliant treasure cove of all kinds of remixes (from local icons to international pop songs), and even his own original tracks.
I then decided to shine the spotlight onto some of his best videos, for your enjoyment:
This EDM remix of ‘Unbelievable’ by Chen Tianwen NEEDS to be played at Pasar Malams and/or sung at Getai stages in July. I seriously can’t think of a more perfect track.
I promise this Frozen remix isn’t going to make you want to punch a wall. Give it a shot and it might just be on replay for the next 24 hours.
