While people were preparing for Chinese New Year (CNY), a fight broke out at a food court in Chinatown in Singapore.
The incident took place on Friday (9 Feb), which was the eve of CNY.
A man ended up suffering nose injuries and required conveyance to the hospital.
The incident happened at about 6.35pm on Friday, at a food court on the first floor of People’s Park Complex, reported 8world News.
A man by the name of Peter who provided the tip-off claimed he saw several police officers at the scene.
The police and some Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel had arrived there quickly.
8world News reporters who hurried to the location later saw a man in a blue shirt near the food court.
His nose was injured, and he was sitting on a chair while two SCDF personnel attended to him.
Tissues with blood stains lay on the floor next to him.
Four police officers were also present.
The man in the blue shirt was believed to have fought with diners at the food court, witnesses told the news outlet.
He was understood to have sustained his nose injuries during the altercation.
Paramedics applied bandages on the man’s nose before sending him to the hospital for treatment.
In response to 8world News’ queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they received an alert regarding the fight at 6.25pm.
An incident required their assistance at 1 Park Road — the address of People’s Park Complex.
Paramedics conveyed a 29-year-old man to the hospital for treatment.
Police investigations are ongoing.
