The new school year has just begun, and if your child is still in need of some books, you might want to head down to Woodlands.
On Monday (18 Jan), a woman took to Facebook to share about some free pre-loved books up for grabs at Woodlands Community Club (CC).
Whether you’re looking to stock up on textbooks, assessment books or storybooks for your kid, you can find various options there.
For parents who are looking to get their kids a head start, here’s your chance to provide them with extra educational material without breaking the bank.
At Woodlands CC, an array of pre-loved assessment books, textbooks and reference books are available.
There are even exam papers from previous years up for grabs.
Those hoping to inculcate a love for reading in their kids can pick from a wide selection of storybooks available in multiple languages.
The best part? They’re all free.
So if you think your child needs a more productive hobby and start the year on the right note, this will be a great place to start.
These free pre-loved books are part of a book distribution initiative by Woodlands Youths.
Although the original date for the book drive was stated as 16 Jan, there appears to still be a wide selection of books available for collection as of the time of writing.
If you happen to find yourself in the Woodlands area, you might want to sieve through the collection. After all, you never know what gems you might find amongst them.
We are unsure when the book drive will end but as more people visit, the selection will likely decrease.
We’d suggest hurrying over if you’d like to grab some free books before they run out.
Here’s how to get there:
Woodlands Community Club
Address: 1 Woodlands Street 81, Singapore 738526
Opening hours: 10am – 6pm daily
Nearest MRT: Woodlands Station
Reading material, especially educational ones that are free are hard to come by, so don’t miss this opportunity.
