Kind Netizen Gives 400 Masks To Punggol & Sengkang Residents, Orders 250 More For Kids

Good Samaritan Gives 400 Masks To Punggol & Sengkang Residents For Free

Although we are going through some dark and heavy times thanks to Covid-19, it’s heartening to know that there are still some warm-hearted people that help brighten and lighten our day.

The latest act of kindness involves a netizen giving out 400 masks to the public free of charge. And the goodness doesn’t stop there.

In his Facebook post on Tuesday (9 Jun), Mr Lee shared that he had ordered 250 more face masks, and plans to distribute them to protect young kids in Singapore.

Recipients of the initial 400 masks included residents of Punggol, Sengkang, and needy students from a primary school also in Punggol.

They received washable, reusable fabric masks that were made in Vietnam.

According to Mr Lee, people who took the masks said they were of good quality.

He also shared that he would be ordering more of these masks to help protect young kids in Singapore, and will give them out for free again.

250 masks up for grabs in 2 weeks

For this second batch, Mr Lee estimates it will take 2 weeks to arrive. He offers the free masks to parents with kids, and will give each child 1 mask.

Interested parents will have to make their way down to 314B Punggol Way at Mr Lee’s convenience, not forgetting to wear their own masks and practise social distancing.

The masks will given on a first come, first served basis, with no reservation of design.

As an average salaried employee using his own savings to help the public, Mr Lee hopes that no one will take advantage of his kindness, and that only parents with kids will collect the masks.

If you need masks for your children, or know anyone who does, you can contact him though his Facebook page here.

Keeping your kids safe with masks

Kind acts like these are what will help Singapore navigate the Covid-19 crisis.

If we look out for one another, we’re sure to be able to overcome the pandemic as one united nation.

Kudos to Mr Lee for setting a good example for the rest of us, and protecting Singapore’s precious kids.
