On Saturday (6 Jun), 344 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed by MOH, of which 7 were community cases. The rest involved Work Permit holders staying in dormitories.
A supermarket in Hougang Mall was added to the list of public places visited by Covid-19 patients during their infectious period:
This is the first of such locations in this north-eastern neighbourhood. The majority of the previously listed places were concentrated in the western, northern & central regions.
An undisclosed number of Covid-19 community patients visited Hougang Mall’s NTUC FairPrice on 30 May, stated the MOH’s press release.
The supermarket visit occurred during peak hours on a Saturday afternoon, right before noon, lasting for 50 minutes.
The public has been advised to stagger their marketing hours to avoid peak hour & weekend crowds. Close contacts of these unnamed patients have been contacted separately & tracing is underway.
Here’s the full list of 12 public places collated by MOH that have been visited by Covid-19 cases so far:
9 supermarkets, 2 wet markets & 1 food court have been named so far. MOH states that this list of public locations excludes the following places:
If you’ve visited Hougang Mall or this particular NTUC Fairprice outlet at similar dates & timings, you’re advised to monitor your health closely for the next 14 days from their date of visit.
See a doctor immediately if you develop any of these respiratory symptoms:
Patients should also inform their doctors of their “exposure history”, said MOH.
We at MS News hope that all affected patients will have a swift recovery. Do remember to try to avoid peak hours when doing your grocery hauls & always adhere to social distancing cues & mask regulations.
As for those who had visited any of these locations recently, continue to pay close attention to the health & well-being of your loved ones in the next 2 weeks.
