Fried chicken and doughnuts are easily 2 of the most popular dishes that we would turn to if we’re stress-eating.
On Friday (27 Dec), KFC Taiwan, in collaboration with Krispy Kreme, launched spaceship-looking doughnut burgers that would give fried chicken with waffles a good run for its money.
Now if you’re salivating already, we advise grabbing yourself a box of tissues, ‘cos it only gets more mouth-watering from here on.
As you can probably tell from the pictures, the doughnut burgers consist of a thicc piece of fried chicken sandwiched between 2 doughnuts.
By the way, the doughnuts aren’t from any chapalang bakeries, These golden ‘halos’ are from the ovens over at Krispy Kreme, probably the most popular doughnut chain store in the world.
We imagine that they taste similar to fried chicken with waffles, but with a fluffier interior.
Each ala carte doughnut burger will set you back roughly S$6.26 (NTD 139). You can also opt for a meal, which comes with a medium-sized coke at S$7.16 (NTD 159).
KFC’s doughnut burgers, however, are pretty elusive.
For starters, they’re only available from 27 Dec to 9 Jan 2020, so customers only have a 2-week window to enjoy the edible spaceship.
Additionally, these fried chicken spaceships will only be sold in 11 stores throughout Taiwan. These are the participating outlets:
Do note that only 60 doughnut burgers will be available at each store per day.
If you happen to be in Taiwan now for the holidays, why not try your luck at any of the stores above?
