UPDATE (12 Oct, 10.15am): The 19-year-old son of the 47-year-old man who was found dead outside a flat in Yishun has been charged in court with murdering his father, reports Channel NewsAsia (CNA). If he proves guilty, he may face the death penalty.
According to The Straits Times (ST), the teenager is due to appear in court again tomorrow (13 Oct).

A 47-year-old man was found dead outside his flat in Yishun on Monday (10 Oct).
His teenage son was arrested at the scene, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

He will be charged with murder.
The police received a call for assistance at about 7.05pm on Monday evening, Channel NewsAsia (CNA) quoted SPF as saying.
They then headed to a residential unit at Yishun Avenue 4.

When they arrived, the police found a 47-year-old man lying motionless outside an HDB unit.
Paramedics subsequently pronounced him dead at the scene.
The police cordoned off part of the HDB corridor for investigations, and there was a tense atmosphere, reported Shin Min Daily News.

Officers eventually arrested a 19-year-old man at the scene.
According to reports, the teen is the son of the deceased.
He will be charged in court with murder on Wednesday (12 Oct).
If convicted, he faces the death penalty.
