According to The Straits Times, residents from the Merdeka Generation can expect to receive their 1st share of promised benefits starting Monday (1 Jul).

If you’re from the Merdeka Generation, look forward to receiving your 1st of 5 annual $200 MediSave top-ups by 5 Jul.
From now till 31 Dec 2020, you can also claim $100 worth of PAssion Silver Card top-up.
There’ll be temporary top-up booths at 25 selected community centres & selected Merdeka Generation events over the next 2 months for more convenient claiming.
By now, you’ve probably seen a message like this being forwarded in your family or work chats.
In case you can’t view it, here is what it reads:
If you know anyone born between 1950-1959, you can ask them to go SMRT to top up $100 EZLink for Merdeka Generation effective today.
How to top up the $100?
1. Go to a Add Value Machine at the mrt station.
2. Place your PAssion Silver Card Senior Citizen card on the card reader.
3. Tap on the word “Merdeka” on the screen.
4. Press Redeem All.
5. Wait 15 secs.
6. Top up completed. You may tap on the word ‘receipt’ if you want it. 😊
Before you rush out to top-up, here’s something you need to know.
If this is your 1st time topping up or if you’re doing it for someone, you may not see the “Merdeka” button show up at this ticketing machine.
And that’s because you’re at the wrong machine.
You need to look for Add Value Machines – the purple ones – at selected MRT stations & locations.
