25-year-old Muhammad Musharraf Bin Abdul Razak was like any young Singaporean chasing his dream.
A young man with big dreams, everything came crashing down after he met with a fatal accident on Sunday (12 Jan).
Details surrounding the accident are scarce, which is why his sister has posted an appeal for witnesses on Facebook.
An avid biker, Mr Musharraf was riding on Sunday (12 Jan) when he got into an accident.
His sister didn’t disclose the accident’s location in her Facebook post, only that it happened somewhere between the evening and night.
She advised riders and drivers to be safe on the road, saying that,
Everyone has love[d] ones waiting to receive text msgs from you and to see you, don’t go driving recklessly hurting the other[s]. We have love[d] ones to go back home to feed & cherish.
Judging from her comments, the accident may have most likely been due to a reckless driver.
Having served in the Singapore Police Force (SPF) for his National Service (NS), Mr Musharraf was committed to serving his country.
A current employee with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) told MS News that Mr Musharraf was in the front line during the 2013 Little India Riots, which he commended as a brave and noble duty.
Perhaps inspired after being part of such a major incident in Singapore’s history, Mr Musharraf harboured aspirations to be a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) one day.

Unfortunately, the accident brought a premature end to his dreams, and took the life of a promising young man.
How much the driver who caused the accident had told the police and Mr Musharraf’s family is unclear, but it seems that what they know isn’t enough.
For that reason, perhaps, his sister is asking anyone with information to reach out. You can contact her via her phone number in the Facebook post.
Friends who know the victim and would like to get in touch with his family can also do the same.
Referring to Mr Musharraf as “my baby I always pat on, my 2nd big brother who fathers the families”, his sister shares how his passing has left a void in the family.
Losing a loved one, especially unexpectedly, is probably the hardest thing to overcome.
MS News extends our sincere condolences to the late Mr Musharraf’s family.
