With the emergence of a new virus cluster, Singapore has been seeing significant spikes in confirmed cases the last few days. And Saturday (7 Mar) was no exception.
There are 8 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore, and 4 of them are linked to SAFRA Jurong, according to the Ministry of Health (MOH). There are now 21 cases linked to the cluster.
Thankfully, today’s report show an equal number of recoveries, as 8 more have recovered.
This brings the total confirmed cases to 138, with 90 discharged from hospitals so far.
Of today’s latest numbers, 4 are linked to a private dinner junction at SAFRA Jurong in Boon Lay on 15 Feb.
As for the remaining 4:
MOH identified the latest 8 patients as Cases 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, and 138.
Of these, Cases 131, 133, 134, and 137 are the ones linked to SAFRA Jurong cluster. Here are what we know of them.
Case 131: A 66-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He is warded at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He reported onset of symptoms on 2 Mar and went to a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 2 and 5 Mar. He was later admitted to NTFGH on 5 Mar, and tested positive for Covid-19 the next day.
Before being admitted, the Pandan Gardens resident had gone to work as a delivery personnel at Liang Guan Hak Kee at 8 Pandan Crescent, and had visited Ayer Rajah Zone 3 Residents’ Committee at 32 Teban Gardens Road.
Case 133: A 62-year-old female Indonesian national who holds a Singapore Social Visit Pass. She has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. She is currently warded in an isolation room at National University Hospital (NUH).
She reported onset of symptoms on 29 Feb and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 1 Mar and at Pioneer Polyclinic on 4 and 6 Mar. She was then referred to the emergency department at NUH on 6 Mar, and tested positive for Covid-19 the same afternoon.
She mostly stayed at her home at Jurong West Street 61 before being admitted.
Case 134: A 56-year-old female Singaporean who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. Although, it is noted that she had gone to Malaysia on 21 Feb.
She is currently warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
She reported onset of symptoms on 28 Feb and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 6 Mar, before being referred to NCID the same day. She tested positive the same day.
Before being admitted, she had visited various community clubs and residents’ committees. She stays at Jurong West Street 71.
Case 137: A 60-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He was confirmed with Covid-19 on 6 Mar afternoon and is currently warded at NCID.
There is little information known of him at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, here are details of the remaining 4 patients: Cases 132, 135, 136 and 138.
Case 132: Likely to be an imported case involving a 37-year-old female Singapore Permanent Resident who had been in London from 23-27 Feb. She is warded at NUH.
She reported onset of symptoms on 29 Feb and had sought treatment at 2 GP clinics on 29 Feb, 4 Mar and 5 Mar. She presented at the emergency department at NUH on 5 Mar. She tested positive the next day.
Before being admitted, she had visited Camden Medical Centre on 1 Orchard Boulevard for an unrelated condition. She stays at Tanglin Road.
Case 135: A 40-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He was confirmed with Covid-19 on 6 Mar afternoon and is currently warded at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
No other details were revealed.
Case 136: Likely to be an imported case involving a 36-year-old male Italian national Singapore Work Pass holder who had recently travelled to the US from 7-22 Feb, and to Italy from 23-29 Feb.
He was confirmed with Covid-19 on 6 Mar afternoon and is currently warded at NCID.
Case 138: A 26-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He was confirmed with Covid-19 on 6 Mar afternoon and is currently warded at NCID.

He is a close contact of Case 66 and family member of Case 83, and is linked to the cluster at The Life Church and Missions Singapore.
MOH reports that the cases linked to SAFRA Jurong cluster involved singing activities and classes conducted by the People’s Association (PA) at several community clubs and residents’ committees.
