Many Malaysians working in Singapore journey across the Causeway every day.
Sadly, one Malaysian SBS Transit driver met his demise after getting involved in a traffic accident in Johor, while on his way to Singapore for work.
His wife, Ms She, took to Facebook on Thursday (4 Apr), urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the accident to step forward.
Here’s her post in full.
Ms She’s late husband was making his way over to Singapore when he met with the fatal traffic accident.
According to Ms She, two other motorists were involved in the accident but left the scene after knocking into her husband.
The hit-and-run took place on Tuesday (2 Apr) at around 12.54pm along Jalan Pandan approaching Askar Wataniah Kem Tebrau — an army camp in Johor Bahru.
This is the rough location of the accident:
Ms She also paid tribute to her late husband in the post, describing him as a good husband, father, and son who works hard to provide for his family.
Her late husband was the sole breadwinner of the family and leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter who has been calling out for her father since his passing.
She urged anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to step forward to help with ongoing investigations, to bring the family closure.
Those with information pertaining to the accident can contact Ms She via the number provided here.
We hope that those responsible for her husband’s death will be identified and brought to justice soon.
