Both cases are linked to Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd at 10 Science Park Road, near Kent Ridge.

According to The Straits Times, 2 of the cases announced earlier – 93 and 95 – are also linked to the same e-learning company. All 4 of them are colleagues.

New Covid-19 cases linked to Science Park cluster

MOH classifies the latest 2 cases as Cases 97 and 98. Below are their details.

Case 97: A 44-year-old female Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) who hasn’t travelled to China, Daegu and Cheongdo recently. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

She reported onset of symptoms on 20 Feb and had sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on the same day. Since she was identified earlier as a close contact of Case 93, she was referred by MOH to NCID yesterday (27 Feb) and immediately isolated.

She tested positive for Covid-19 the same day. Before being admitted, she reported to work at Wizlearn Technologies and attended a business meeting at the Agency for Integrated Care on 5 Maxwell Road.

Case 97 stays at Choa Chu Kang North 5, and is linked to Cases 93 and 95.

Case 98: A 24-year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection just this morning (28 Feb) and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

He is linked to Cases 93, 95 and 97.

Updates on yesterday’s announced cases 95 & 96

If you were scratching your heads over the lack of details for yesterday’s announced cases, MOH has shed light on cases 95 and 96 today.

Case 95: A 44-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

He is linked to Case 93.

He reported onset of symptoms on 22 Feb and had sought treatment at 2 GP clinics on 25 and 26 Feb. He was referred to NCID on 26 Feb and was immediately isolated. He later tested positive for Covid-19 infection the next morning.

Before being admitted, he had attended business meetings at several locations:

  • Sport Singapore at 3 Stadium Drive
  • Singapore Aviation Academy at 1 Aviation Drive
  • Toa Payoh Hub at 490 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh

He later visited Toa Payoh Sport Centre at 297 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh. He stays at Choa Chu Kang Crescent.

Case 96: A 12-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. He is currently warded in an isolation room at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

He is a family member of Case 94, also announced yesterday.

The boy reported onset of symptoms on 21 Feb and had sought treatment at a GP clinic the next day. Since he is a close contact of Case 94, he was referred by MOH to KKH on 26 Feb and was immediately isolated.

He was confirmed with COVID-19 infection on 27 Feb afternoon.

He is a student at Raffles Institution and stays in the Jalan Jurong Kechil area.

Who are cases 93 & 94?

Just in case you need a refresher, here’s a brief recap on these 2 previously announced patients.

Case 93: A 38-year-old male Singaporean who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. He was confirmed with Covid-19 on 26 Feb.

Case 94: A 64-year-old female Singaporean who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. She tested positive for Covid-19 on 26 Feb afternoon.

3 more Covid-19 patients discharged

Singapore continues to report healthy recovery trends, and today was no exception. We learnt that 3 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital today.

They are cases 52, 79, and 89, one of which is a second Bangladeshi worker. He was one of the 8 cases announced on 13 Feb.

This brings the total recoveries to 69.

With a new virus cluster identified today, it is likely that more cases may surface starting tomorrow.

In the meantime, let us do our best in maintaining good hygiene. If you are feeling unwell, do report to your nearest Public Health Preparedness Clinic (PHPC) and keep yourself isolated.
