A Scoot flight approaching Guangzhou was rocked by turbulence, injuring four passengers and three crew members.
In what has become an increasingly common occurrence this year, the turbulence hit as the plane neared its destination, leaving several on board hurt.
The incident took place on TR100 from Singapore to Guangzhou on Friday (6 Sept), reported 8world News.
According to flight-tracking website FlightRadar24, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner took off from Singapore at 5.46am.
The flight landed safely as scheduled at 9.13am.
However, there had apparently been some injuries sustained on board.
A photo provided to 8world by a reader showed a passenger being carried on a stretcher.
Another photo showed two crew members, a man and a woman, being wheeled away in wheelchairs as others stood nearby with their luggage.
Scoot has since told MS News that Clear Air Turbulence (CAT) occurred when the plane was making its descent into Guangzhou at about 20,000 feet.
The airline also confirmed that four passengers and three crew members received medical assistance immediately upon arrival in Guangzhou.
As of 8.30pm local time on 6 Sept, one passenger remained in hospital for further observation, Scoot said, adding:
Our priority is the welfare of our customers and cabin crew, and we will extend all the necessary support and assistance required.
