His condition presumably took a turn for the worse  on 26 Mar and staff transferred him to the intensive care unit (ICU).

He subsequently developed serious complications and died from the infection after spending 7 days in the ICU.

The NCID is in touch with the deceased’s family and is rendering assistance to them.

Condolences go out to family of deceased

Our condolences go out to the family members and friends of the deceased. May he rest in peace.

This once again highlights the severity of the disease and why we should not take advisories and measures from the government lightly.
