741 New Covid-19 Cases On 7 May, As S’pore Inches Closer To 21,000 Mark

Singapore Reports 741 New Covid-19 Cases On 7 May

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 741 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore today (7 May).

This brings the total count to 20,939 cases so far.

As per recent trends, majority come from workers’ dormitories, while only 5 are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (PRs).

Also, a new high of 115 patients have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, meaning 1,634 have fully recovered.

With community cases slowly falling each day, authorities are gradually easing ‘Circuit Breaker’ measures, such as allowing certain businesses to resume from 12 May.

Even so, it’ll take a much longer time before things could return to what they used to be, with precautions like safe distancing and wearing masks becoming the “new normal“.

Keeping in mind that nobody has a clear idea when the pandemic will end, let’s adapt as much as we can for now, and try to carry on with our lives.
