Postal services are considered essential, as SingPost will continue to deliver mail till 4 May.
Like all other businesses, the local post will adjust operations to meet new guidelines set up by the government. This could lead to slight delays in the service to customers.
In their Facebook post on 6 Apr, SingPost shared updates on how mail delivery will be adjusted during ‘Circuit Breaker’ period.
For the next month, mail delivery will continue islandwide.
Mail might take up to 3 additional working days to arrive as delays on the processing and delivery of items are expected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
All small tracked packages will be delivered straight to the letterbox.

Although non-essential businesses are closed during this time, SingPost will still deliver mail to their address.
Should the letterbox hit full capacity, the postal service will hang on to mail until 4 May, and redeliver these items when offices reopen.
Speedpost, SingPost’s local courier service with doorstep collection and delivery, will still run during this time.
To maintain safety and hygiene standards, contactless receiving options will be made available.
In the unlikely event that no one is home and the item can’t be delivered, it will be sent to the nearerst POPStation for self-collection.
24 post offices will remain open with full services available at these locations.

Capacity limitations, safe distancing and temperature checks will be in effect in compliance with the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) guidelines.
SingPost will also collect personal contact details to facilitate contact tracing should the need arise.
