According to Thairath, the Chiang Mai Night Safari received a pair of golden tigers on 27 July 2015. The male tiger came from South Africa while the female tiger came from the Czech Republic.
Now, about a decade later, their daughters are making their debut. Three-year-old Ava, born 16 Feb 2021, was part of a litter of three.
Although her sister Luna also received a warm reception, Ava quickly stole the show with her adorable eyes and goofy expression.

Top comment translation: What species is this? It’s so cute. If I have the chance, I’ll visit.
“Ava is a golden tiger. Her rare colours are a result of recessive genes, similar to albino tigers. The odds of this occurring are quite low with only around 50-100 tigers with similar colours globally,” the admin said.
The admin even snuck in a little plug at the end saying that anyone can catch a glimpse of Ava and her family at the Tiger World section of the Chiang Mai Night Safari.
