SBS spokesperson Grace Wu confirmed, in response to MS News’ queries, that Service 852 was rear-ended and mounted the kerb, also colliding with Service 851 in front of it.

Five passengers on 852 were injured, and three among them were sent to the hospital for treatment. An SBS team was at the hospital to offer care and support.

SBS has spoken to two of the hospitalised passengers and is trying to reach the remaining person to check on their well-being and offer assistance.

As for 851, no injuries were reported. Neither of the SBS bus captains were hurt.

Passengers on both buses who were not injured continued their journeys after being transferred to other buses.
