Group of Filipino women engage in physical altercation in Clarke Quay

A group of Filipino women were filmed engaging in a physical altercation outside a bar in Clarke Quay on Sunday (11 Oct).

The video was shared the following day on the Threads account @sgfollowsall.

Several women appeared to gang up on a woman in a white skirt, who was accused of pulling one of the women’s hair.

According to the post, the incident occurred in front of Blue Jazz Bar along the Singapore River.

The 47-second clip begins with two women pulling the hair of a woman in a white skirt while two others appear to pull at her clothes.

As they continue to fight on the ground, the camerawoman is heard asking: “What are you doing to her?”

“I don’t know what she’s doing,” a woman in a navy skirt replied.

In the video, she was among those who pulled at the victim’s hair.

“Why [are they doing that]?” the camerawoman pressed further, without receiving a response.

Meanwhile, about four women, including the one in a white skirt, continue to tackle each other on the ground.

One woman, in a brown top, tries to help the victim get up, but fails. She doesn’t appear to join in the women’s fight.

One of the assailants tells camerawoman to stop filming

“So arrogant, motherf***er,” the camerawoman is then heard saying, while another woman is heard remarking with a chuckle, “she pulled… hair”.

The woman in a navy skirt then said: “So arrogant, f***.”

However, upon noticing the camerawoman taking a video, she walks back and points at her, saying: “Eh, don’t take a video.”

“I’ll just [take a video] so you have evidence, but I won’t post [this],” the camerawoman responds.

“That’s enough,” the camerawoman says repeatedly.

That was when some begin to lay off the victim.

Another woman pulls the woman in white up to a seated position and begins to accuse her.

“You’re an a**h***. [She] dragged me,” a woman is heard saying, but it is unclear which of the women in the area said this.

In response to MS News queries, the police received a call for assistance at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street on 11 Oct at about 9.55pm.

A 38-year-old woman sustained minor injuries but refused conveyance to the hospital.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.
