Animal shelters are safe havens for homeless animals who otherwise have nowhere to go.
On Tuesday (11 Jun), Animal Lovers League (ALL), an animal charity, issued an urgent appeal for donations so they can continue running their animal shelter.
Founded in 2002, ALL runs Pets Villa, an animal shelter with about 500 dogs and cats under their care.
The shelter requires sponsorship and boarding fees to continue operations.
Many of the animals spend their whole lives at the shelter, which sees to their food and medical needs.
Pets Villa recently ran into financial difficulty and currently has debts amounting to $48,000 from 3 months of outstanding rental fees.
If they’re unable to settle the debt by 30 Jun, Pets Villa might be forced to close for good, leaving the animals without a home.
Hence, they’re appealing for public donations to pay off the debt.
At the time of writing, more than $22,500 have been raised by donors.
If you’re keen on donating, here’re 5 channels that you can do so:
For more details on how to donate, check out their Facebook post here.
Having 500 animals under their care is no easy feat, but the folks at ALL have shown us that it is possible, with their undying love for all the furkids.
Let’s help to give the animals hope, as they are living, breathing creatures that deserve a place to call home, just like all of us.
