Injured person declines hospital conveyance

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 12.05pm on Wednesday.

It took place along Outram Road.

One person was assessed for minor injuries by SCDF.

However, the individual declined to be sent to the hospital.

1 passenger injured, others transferred to another bus

Mr Vincent Gay, Deputy Managing Director of SMRT Buses, told MS News that its bus service 970 was travelling along Outram Road in the direction of Hospital Avenue at the time.

It was then involved in an accident with a lorry.

This resulted in one passenger sustaining a minor injury and being attended to by SCDF, he said.

All the other passengers on board continued their journeys after they were transferred safely to another bus, he noted, adding that SMRT is cooperating with the police in their investigation.
