Car crashes through carpark wall and falls from second floor

A car plunged from the second-floor carpark of an apartment building in Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia, on Tuesday (1 Sept) evening.

There were no injuries reported from the incident, but it reportedly caused a heated argument among residents.

Driver allegedly stepped on accelerator instead of brake

According to World of Buzz (WOB), the incident occurred at a multi-storey carpark of an apartment building in Bandar Baru Ampang at around 7.30pm.

A witness claimed the car driver had mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to crash through the carpark wall and plunge off.

Photos and videos of the incident show that the white sedan had fallen on its bumper while its back wheels leaned against the floor of the second level, causing it to be perpendicular to the ground.

Residents argue with driver’s alleged husband

Angry residents then swarmed the area and began arguing with a man believed to be the husband of the female driver, who allegedly ran away following the incident.

“Luckily, the police responded very quickly and arrived within 10 minutes to secure the scene and control the situation,” the witness told WOB.

The vehicle landed on two parked motorcycles and damaged their rears, but there were no injuries reported.

Police are still investigating the details of the incident, according to Oriental Daily.
