Clap For SGUnited To Cheer On Covid-19 Frontliners At 8pm Tonight, Inspired By UK Movement

Clap For SGUnited To Cheer On Frontliners Through Covid-19, Inspired By UK Initiative To Thank NHS

The battle against Covid-19 is intensifying, and those on the frontline have been hard-pressed to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Some kind souls from the United Kingdom (UK) recognised that the frontliners – especially healthcare workers – may be feeling the exhaustion by now, and decided to do what they could by cheering them on, literally.

Last Thursday (26 Mar), most of England banded together at 8pm (British Standard Time) to cheer the National Health Service on in the “Clap for Carers” initiative.

It was a resounding success, with people from all over the country showing their support from their windows and balconies.

It looks like the initiative is coming to Singapore, as Facebook group “Clap For #SGUnited” has emerged with a similar movement.

Clap for our frontline workers on 30 Mar at 8pm

There aren’t many details, but the bottom line is that the initiative will be happening right here, in Singapore.

All you have to do is go to your window, door, or balcony tonight (30 Mar) at 8pm, and start clapping with all you’ve got!

Channel all your frustrations at the pandemic, and turn that negative energy into a form of thanks for those on the frontline.

They have been working tirelessly to ensure the safety of our country, and this is the least we can do to show our appreciation.

It’s not much, but it’s a gesture to show that we care. Let’s clap for SGUnited together.
