The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Wednesday (13 May) that as of 12pm, there are 675 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore.
The national toll now stands at 25,346.
A majority of cases are from work permit holders who reside in workers’ dormitories.
There are just 2 cases involving Singaporeans and PRs.
Fewer cases in community
There are signs that the ‘Circuit Breaker’ is reducing the number of cases in the community.
This is the 4th consecutive day where there have been less than 5 new daily community cases.
As such, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong suggested on Tuesday (12 May) that the measures can be relaxed after 1 Jun, albeit slowly and at a measured rate.
Hopefully the trend continues, while being mindful that we still have to be responsible after relaxed measures.
MOH will provide more detailed updates about the cases tonight.
