Despite tighter measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 among our communities, the daily case count has hit 75 as of Saturday (4 Apr).
This brings the nation’s total to 1,189 cases.
69 of which are local transmissions and 6 imported cases, confirmed the Ministry of Health.
Out of 69 new local cases, 41 have known links to clusters or previous cases. Contact tracing is underway for the remaining 28 unlinked patients.
With Singapore’s 6th death, authorities are looking to prevent further casualties by limiting human contact with workplace, school & hawker centre closures.

There are also multiple new cases linked to previous cases, while 41 cases reported today are linked to previously discovered clusters across the island.
4 more frontline healthcare staff workers have been declared patients, with Case 1159 being a patient service associate at NCID.
The other female patients come from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital & KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital respectively.
Things are looking up for at least 15 Covid-19 patients who have been given the all clear. This brings the total number of recoveries to 297.
However, we send our thoughts and prayers to the 26 who remain in critical condition, and are currently recuperating in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
500 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 but are “clinically well” have shifted to isolation rooms at respective facilities.
Earlier today, Singapore announced its 6th Covid-19 death — an 88-year-old man afflicted with pre-existing health conditions including diabetes and cancer.
Stricter “circuit breaker” measures, including hawker centre, school and workplace closures are expected to last till early May.
However, businesses offering essential services will continue to operate as per normal. Singaporeans are advised to only leave the house where absolutely necessary.
