The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that as of 12pm on Sunday (14 Jun), there are 407 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore.
There are now 40,604 cases in total. The majority of cases are from migrant workers staying in dormitories.
MOH reported 9 new community infections, and 4 of them are Singaporeans/PRs. The other 5 are work pass holders.
The death toll stands at 26 after a 73-year-old Singaporean man succumbed due to Covid-19 related illness on Friday (12 Jun).
Recently, there has been more community cases than the average of below 5 since Phase 1 began on 2 Jun.
However, MOH says this is due to proactive testing. Whether Phase 1 is seeing an uptick in cases is yet to be known.
More updates will be available at night.
