On the same day, China authorities reported that cases of the deadly coronavirus has increased to nearly 1,300. The virus has also taken the lives of 41 people.

In Singapore, 3 patients have tested positive for the virus as of Saturday (25 Jan) morning.

All travellers at Tuas and Woodlands Checkpoint would also have to undergo health screening in light of the large number of people crossing the border over the CNY weekend.

Rest in peace, Mr Liang

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the loved ones of the late Mr Liang.

Let this also be a reminder for all that healthcare workers are not immune to the virus, despite all the protective gears and precautions. Every one of them deserves our salute.
