A doctor in Thailand endeared himself to Thai netizens after clips of him raising hell over patients having to wait for hours just to see him went viral.
In the clip, the doctor can be seen addressing one of the nurses in a voice loud enough for the packed room of waiting patients to hear.
He began questioning why it was taking so long for his requested x-rays to arrive. He also questioned why he was only able to see 10 patients by noon, despite there being hundreds in the waiting room.
According to Thailand’s Channel 3 News, the x-rays were meant to have been ready by the appointment time for the surgeon to see his patients.
The system is alleged to be broken and a technician had been ordered to fix it. However, only around 40% of the data was available.

The faulty system led to many delays for the patients, leaving hundreds waiting without clear indication as to when they would be seen.
The surgeon asked why the patient appointments were not rescheduled if the system was not yet fully fixed. He emphasised how this would only waste their time.
At one point, the nurse called the technician who was supposed to fix the system, but he was in another province all together.
When the story was shared by local media, Thai netizens nearly universally praised the doctor for speaking up.
One commenter praised the doctor because if patients who suffered worse symptoms had to wait for an inefficient system, then they might end up dying before seeing a professional.

Another commended the doctor for standing up for the patients, as they usually only see doctors scolding patients.
