Driver dings parked car when opening van door, proceeds to urinate on carpark floor

A van driver has sparked outrage after a video emerged showing him openly urinating on the floor of a carpark at Fu Lu Shou Complex in Rochor, after allegedly dinging a parked car’s door.

The incident, captured by a dashcam from a parked car next to the van, allegedly took place on 4 May at 5.46pm.

The video was shared on the SGRV Admin Facebook page, where it quickly gained traction with several angry comments from netizens.

Van driver dings parked car before urinating in carpark

At the start of the video, the van driver can be seen exiting from his van, which is parked to the left of the camcar.

As he exits the vehicle, the van door clips the camcar’s left door panel.

The van driver then closes his vehicle’s door before walking towards the rear of both vehicles.

Driver unzips and urinates on carpark floor

The man proceeds to unzip his pants, with his back turned to the camera.

He then seemingly proceeds to urinate on the floor of the carpark.

While doing so, he scans the area for any passersby, but remains oblivious to the camera recording his actions.

The dashcam footage also captured the company under which the van is registered: Joo Huat Trading.

 

The company, which operates from the Fu Lu Shou Complex, is believed to be a retailer of traditional Chinese ingredients.

Netizens slam driver’s behaviour

The video quickly sparked outrage online, with netizens heavily criticising the van driver’s actions.

Many called on the company or the carpark management to take appropriate action against the employee.

Others expressed anger over the van driver’s apparent lack of respect for the parked car, with some commenting on how the driver had damaged the vehicle by opening the door too forcefully.

One netizen also jokingly asked if the National Environment Agency (NEA) would have to begin running “Don’t Park and Pee” campaigns.

Company aware of incident, investigation underway

In response to MS News’ queries, a Joo Heng Trading representative said that they were aware of the incident.

“We understand that this is an inappropriate action and serious matter”, the representative said.

The company is currently looking into the situation.

According to NEA, first-time offenders who urinate in public will be subjected to a fine of up to S$1,000.
