A 51-year-old man was found dead on Monday (7 Sept) afternoon on a bench in Jalan Besar, with no foul play suspected.
A cleaner had called the police after realising that the man had stopped breathing, reported Shin Min Daily News.

A 70-year-old reader named Mr Lu (transliterated from Mandarin) had told the Chinese daily that he was cycling in the area when he saw police vehicles in the vicinity of Upper Weld Road, which is off Jalan Besar.
The back alley that runs parallel to the road was cordoned off, he added.
When reporters arrived at about 5pm, at least two police vehicles were at the scene.
A blue tent had been set up in the alley, attracting a crowd of onlookers.
A male cleaner who declined to be named said he frequently encountered drunk people sleeping in the alley over his four years working there.
On Sunday (6 Sept), he had seen the middle-aged man dozing on a metal box in the alley and suspected that he was intoxicated.
He was still breathing at the time, he added.

However, when the cleaner passed by again on Monday, he saw the same man there but he had stopped breathing.
He proceeded to call the police.
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it received a call for assistance at about 4.25pm on Monday, from 36 Upper Weld Road
A 51-year-old man was found motionless on a bench, SPF noted.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
No foul play is suspected, based on preliminary investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
