Rescue workers took a 13-year-old girl to the hospital after they found her bleeding heavily and walking along a road in Phatthalung, Thailand, early on Monday (5 Oct).
The teenager reportedly left a nearby bungalow after the male friend she arrived with left her there, according to her account.
At around 3am, residents at Khuha Sawan sub-district, Mueang Phatthalung district, spotted the girl walking alone and asking for help.
They called rescue workers and the police.

Rescue workers administered first aid on the scene before taking her to the hospital for further examination.
During preliminary questioning, the girl said she had travelled to a bungalow in Khuan Maphrao sub-district with a male friend.
However, she later found herself alone at the accommodation and decided to leave on foot to seek help getting home.

The friend was no longer at the bungalow when authorities responded.
Police are working to locate and question him to establish what happened before the teenager left the premises.
Authorities have yet to determine what caused the girl’s bleeding or what occurred inside the bungalow.

Officers are awaiting the results of her medical examination while gathering evidence and speaking to those involved.
As the girl is a minor, authorities are also coordinating with her family and relevant agencies to ensure she receives appropriate protection.
