Man in the US suffers fatal heart attack while dumping girlfriend’s body

Police in Alabama, United States, determined that a man suffered a fatal heart attack while dumping his girlfriend’s body, after strangling her.

Authorities were first alerted to the incident when a passerby called in to report that there was an abandoned vehicle on the road.

According to the Chambers County Alabama Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered two deceased individuals in a wooded area near the vehicle around noon on 10 June.

Dragging marks observed

The Sheriff said they discovered the vehicle with the taillights still on and the driver’s side door open. They spotted a drag path at the scene, which led to the two bodies.

The woman had her hands over her head while the man was curled up in a fetal position.

An autopsy later determined that 47-year-old Jessica Folds had died of strangulation. Meanwhile, 44-year-old Daniel Robbins died of cardiac arrest.

Police believe Robbins had been trying to dispose of Folds’ body when he suffered a heart attack.

Man’s obituary taken down

Authorities believe the murder occurred elsewhere and that Folds had been transported to the wooded area for dumping. It is unclear where the murder took place, but it is believed to be a domestic incident.

They also suspect that the murder had taken place the night before the bodies were discovered.

According to her obituary, she is survived by her three sons. A memorial service for her was held on 28 June.
