While many Singaporeans felt anxious on Friday (7 Feb) after Singapore is now on DORSCON Orange alert, one lucky person must’ve felt pretty blessed.

As the 2020 iteration of the Hong Bao TOTO draw took place at 9.30pm the same day, one person became the new owner of $12 million after winning the Group 1 prize.

Hong Bao TOTO winner bought ticket at Bukit Batok MRT

According to Lianhe Zaobao, the winning ticket was bought at the NTUC FairPrice outlet at Bukit Batok MRT.

Only one person struck 6 numbers in this Hong Bao draw, which won them the Group 1 prize.

Now here’s where things become even more interesting.

According to Singapore Pools’ data, the winning ticket was a quick pick Ordinary Bet. This means the winner struck the jackpot with just 6 numbers and could have put in a bet of just $1.

Meanwhile, 20 other individuals won the Group 2 prize, each bringing home a prize money of $101,649.
