Alleged drunk driver crashes into lorry on SLE

A suspected drunk driver of a grey sedan zipped across a crowded SLE on Tuesday (27 Jan) morning, smashing into a lorry, causing the lorry to flip over.

The shocking video shows the wreckage unfolding in a matter of seconds, sending the lorry and debris across all five lanes along the expressway in the direction of Woodlands.

Thankfully, the passengers and drivers of both vehicles appeared to have climbed out of their vehicles.

At 9.30am, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call and sent an ambulance, according to media reports. The lorry driver and his passenger were taken to to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital while the sedan driver has been arrested.

Police are still investigating the matter.
