Back in July, social media was ablaze with sexual harassment allegations against Imran Rahim brought to light by Reform Party’s Charles Yeo.
More than a month has passed since then.
On Tuesday (8 Sep), Mr Yeo took to Instagram to share that the case has been settled amicably. Imran also reposted the statement on his account shortly after.
The pair even had lunch together.
In the Instastory post, Mr Yeo shared that the case has been settled amicably.
Despite their past differences, the Reform Party Chairman claims that he had not “endorsed” the allegations.
Furthermore, he wrote that the claims have not been proven till date.
Mr Imran reshared the post on his Instagram feed shortly, and said he respects Mr Yeo for the work he has put in to help the less-privileged.
He also thanked Mr M Ravi and Mr Abraham Vergis – both senior lawyers – for their roles in helping them make peace with each other.
The 4 individuals were even seen having a meal together.
We’re glad both Imran and Charles have settled their differences amicably.
While it remains a mystery how accurate the allegations are, we hope members of the public would avoid speculating on the matter since both parties have already ‘buried’ their hatchet.
