Booking a local activity with your SG Culture Pass credits this August could come with an extra feel-good bonus.
Besides getting to experience more of Singapore’s arts, heritage, and culture yourself, your booking could also unlock the same experience for a migrant worker who has contributed to building the country we call home.
Klook has partnered migrant worker charity ItsRainingRaincoats (IRR) for its inaugural “Make a Memory, Gift a Memory” campaign, which runs throughout August.

Under the initiative, every eligible booking for selected activities made using SG Culture Pass credits on Klook unlocks a matching experience for a migrant worker beneficiary through IRR.
Some of those gifted memories have already been made.
On 16 Aug, 73 migrant workers took part in two local outings, with 28 visiting Madame Tussauds Singapore and another 45 going on the Singapore River Cruise.

Among those who visited Madame Tussauds was Riju Mia, a safety coordinator from Bangladesh who arrived in Singapore in April 2022.

“I came today because I was drawn by the exciting displays and the chance to learn more about Singapore’s history, its leaders, and the global icons featured here, from BTS to 4D characters,” he said.
Mr Riju, who holds a diploma in electrical engineering and works at the PaxOcean yard, said the outing was also his first time visiting an attraction in Singapore.

“As I am usually busy at work, this is my first time experiencing the attractions,” he added. “It’s been a fun and refreshing experience for us. Sometimes we need to relax, take a break and recharge.”
For Mr Riju, the day offered a rare chance to step away from work, explore a different side of Singapore, and simply unwind.

For many migrant workers, supporting their families back home takes priority, and some may also work overtime or save as much as possible from their monthly wages.
This can leave fewer opportunities to explore Singapore beyond their usual routines.
According to Ashwini Priya, Community Engagement & Events Manager at IRR, many migrant workers have just one rest day a week, often on Sunday, which some spend with friends in familiar areas such as Little India.

Ticketed attractions such as Madame Tussauds Singapore or the river cruise may not always be on their radar, she added, either because they are less familiar with them or because admission costs can be a consideration.
“This initiative is slightly different in that individuals who use their Culture Pass can contribute towards giving a migrant worker the opportunity to visit the same attraction,” Ms Priya said, adding that it “creates a direct connection between their participation and the experience that a worker is able to have”.

For every qualifying booking made on Klook using SG Culture Pass credits, a migrant worker beneficiary will receive access to a matching experience through IRR, at no additional cost to the customer.
Singaporeans can choose from nine specially curated, SG Culture Pass-eligible experiences, including:

Through these bookings, the campaign aims to unlock matching experiences for more than 250 migrant workers, with nine specially curated sessions taking place throughout August.
According to Jeanette Ong, Associate Director of Marketing at Klook Singapore, the initiative also builds on the company’s relationship with IRR, which dates back to 2021.
It forms part of the brand’s long-running #KlookCares programme, which supports local communities through NGO partnerships, donations, and employee volunteering initiatives.
Singaporeans can take part until 31 Aug by booking one of the selected experiences on Klook using their SG Culture Pass credits.
