A Singaporean woman recently lost her wallet in India. Luckily, a kind soul found it and decided to go the extra mile to reunite the woman with her wallet.
The man took to Facebook on Tuesday (30 Jul) in hopes of finding the owner of the wallet. Here’s the post in full:
Translation:
I found a purse belonging to a Singapore citizen by the name of Vijayalakshmi Chandrasekaran at bus stop 1C in the Kovai district. The wallet is currently with me and I will hand it over to the police station soon. I can be contacted at 9843022733 or 9840224934. My name is Karthik.
According to the post, a man named Karthik had allegedly found a purse belonging to a Singaporean woman named Vijayalakshmi Chandrasekaran at “bus stop 1C” in the Kovai district
The wallet contained several personal documents such as her NRIC, PAssion Silver Card, and even a Civil Service Card.
The finder claims that he will be handing the wallet to the police, but can be contacted via the phone numbers included in the Facebook post.
Cash and coins amounting to roughly S$13 were also found in the purse.
We’re heartened by Karthik’s kind gesture and the trouble he went to in order to establish contact with the owner.
